Here’s Why You Should Bring More Staff in to Help You Better Strategize Your IT Marketing!
The process of coming up with an IT marketing plan for your business should be something that’s done as a team, not in isolation. The biggest mistake that many managed service providers make when it comes to their marketing is they don’t dedicate enough resources to it. They have a one-person marketing department, and that individual is tasked with coming up with ideas to help bring in new clients, retain their current customers, and grow the business overall. How can one person have all of the necessary creative juices to come up with an actual marketing plan that’s gong to yield the success you want? You honestly should be thinking about bringing in more staff to help.
A Group Effort
Coming up with an IT marketing plan should be a group effort. You want to have as many people in the room as possible. The more, the merrier, right? The more people there are in your marketing team, the more brains there will be that are churning fresh ideas and collaborating. As an MSP, you want to encourage ideas to come from the ground up.
The best ideas are going to originate from those who have to do the work every day. When you have a group of people who are waiting for a directive from a group leader, they’re not truly contributing to the best of their abilities. Coming up with a plan should be a collaborative, unified effort.
New, Unique Ideas
When you have a bunch of people in one room coming up with a marketing plan, you’re going to have a lot of new and unique ideas. Getting all of the creative juices flowing and empowering people to be able to take the ideas that they have and pitch them to the rest of the group is a beautiful thing.
Some of the best marketing ideas that we’ve known to date have come from productive group sessions. Teams have a big white board and they’re just throwing ideas left and right, feeding off one another, honing, tweaking… until they come up with a marketing tactic that’s going to be nothing short of a home run.
You never want to have employees just sitting there and waiting for someone who’s in a higher position to just make a decision for you. The answers should come from the team, taking it upon themselves to get together and provide their answers. Multiple minds working as one can be a godsend for any business.
We understand that coming up with an IT marketing plan can be a tiresome process. It can be draining and tough to come up with something unique, new, creative, and successful. More minds in the room are always going to help.
